USA ST Nats: The  US National Short Track Championships are taking place this weekend. I hope it’s not too late for this; US Speed Skating’s live video feed- it says that Sunday’s racing begins at 8:30am. I was watching it earlier today and the quality was super good. I hope that results are posted here. I’m sure that US Speed Skating will post results- ah ha! Just found them; day 1 results, day 1 points, and more day 1 results.

SSW Design: As you can tell, I am still playing around with SSW’s look. Fear not; it will eventually settle. It’s pretty cool that the skating community and other websites are taking note that I am changing the site’s look- case and point; Inline Skating Notebook and Pattinaggio Bellusco’s 07-03 update.

Snow: There is lots of it here. The newspaper and television say that this winter is Toronto most snowy winter on record. Hmmm. Candy Wong wrote a post called It’s Still Snowing Outside which has a cool quote. Go to her site and check it out. I took a picture today to share with you my joy and elation of the fact that it’s been snowing for the last 24-some-odd hours and I’ve really gotten a kick out of shoveling. I’m sure everyone from Buffalo to Toronto to Montreal understand…

A lot more snow fell after I took this picture. And it’s still falling tonight.

Sanchez: According to Skate Podium, Spains’ Ronan Sanchez will be skating with Skatemill-Powerslide. Check out the video at the bottom. Hmmm. Looks like there’s no snow in that video.
