The downhill race, which will take place place on August 26th, will attract skaters from all over the world.

Skaters will scale up to Everest Base Camp 2 and will start in waves of 50 for the first qualifying round. The top-10 of each race will advance to the next round until a final of 50 skaters can be held.

The race is open to roller and ice skaters. This is because the race course features icy roads that are condusive to ice & roller (inline) skates.
