Today is the day off at the Gera, Germany, Senior European Championships. This gives us all time to catch our breath, dig up links and pictures, and get our computers and browsers ready for the road portion of the event.

A few lucky medals dished out tonight, the Italian men looked likely for the silver, after the French had cleared away & spanked everyone elses Butts, the Italians crashed in the change area & that was the end of their night & should have signalled a restart for the relay, but other skaters had to avoid the fallen warriar & the race went on.
The Spanish persisted on changing on the outside, passed two teams per lap & then let them get back on the inside of them, which for sure cost them amedal.
In the ladies relay Spain came to grief & in a luckless night for Germany, they crashed out at the bottom corner, when looking good for silver & Jana Gegner finally finding some form
