February 10th 2010- Roller Speed Skating News

As I write this update, there’s a bit of snow falling in Toronto. It’s not much snow, but it’s enough to make the roller/ inline speed skating season seem very distant.

But with the Winter Olympics coming quickly, it’s a good thing that it’s snowing and that the season is close yet far away. That gives me the opportunity to continue training and preparing for the upcoming season. It also means I can plop myself in front of the television and the computer to absorb all that I can during these winter Olympics.

And now, here’s the latest from the world of roller speed skating;

I get the ice question more and more with the olympics coming up- i WANT to skate the 2014 games, but i don’t want to quit skating inlines- its way too much fun, especially now with NSC. We have big plans for next season already, with talks of broadening the athlete roster from 12 per race to as many as 28 and creating heats at the event. Trials will be held some time around November- i think trials is going to be SICK-
